Maurice Allin

VP, Business Intelligence

Maurice has spent over 30 years in and around farming, including stints as an ag extension specialist, a management consultant with a global consulting firm, an agency strategist and owner of CentricEngine (a consultancy focused on bringing customer centric thinking to agriculture). Described by a previous boss as an “iconoclast” (and still wondering if it was a compliment or not), Maurice is constantly searching for unconventional wisdom.

He was a Market Research and Account Planning instructor for the Institute of Communications Agencies CAAP program for over a dozen years and is a University of Guelph grad with dual majors in Resource Economics and Soil Science – that’s right – a degree in “dirt!”. Maurice is fascinated by how customers make decisions and how those decisions relate to their sense of identity.

Facts about Maurice

  • When he isn’t on the job, Maurice is working on his latest projects on the property (many started, some finished), on long walks with his wife, Stephanie and two Golden Retrievers (Zeke and Gabe) or wishing they were all out cruising a lake with their boat.
  • He believes that if you take the time to listen – 99 out every 100 people are incredibly interesting and the 100th is interesting because they’re not!
