WS Wins Four Anvils, Two Merits at 2019 Anvil Awards

Calgary, Alberta. (May 7, 2019) — With a continuous commitment to their mantra “We Solve. With Soul.”,  WS was honoured for their solution focused work at Ad Rodeo’s 2019 Anvil Awards. The creativity, strategic insights and exceptional execution of the campaigns and clients recognized reflect WS’s audience centric and data informed approach to solving client challenges.

At the gala awards show, held at Telus Spark on Friday, May 3rd, WS received Anvil awards in four categories, as well as two merits. These awards represented just some of WS’ clients, including Alberta Beef Producers, High River Brewing Co., Mealshare and Morris Industries.  

The agency was awarded an Anvil in the Radio Series category, for their work on Morris Industries Innovation Unearthed, a campaign that challenged traditional approaches to B2B marketing for the primary agriculture audience. In addition to the Anvil, this approach was recognized in late 2018 at the 2018 Best of CAMA awards, winning five First Place awards, as well as at the Digital Alberta Ember Awards, winning Best Cross Platform Campaign. The Innovation Unearthed campaign showcases the agency’s capabilities in strategy, media buying and planning, content strategy and development, design, digital marketing, public relations, traditional advertising and production.

The Anvil Awards were developed to honour excellence in advertising, design and development, and to recognize the individuals and organizations responsible for creating this work across the prairie provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. This year, they received a record-setting 566 entries.

WS won Anvils in the following categories:
