Bryce Webster Starts a New Chapter as Copywriter at WS
Back in 2013, Bryce
worked in the exciting “new” world of social media management, writing content
for clients and engaging on their behalf across a variety of platforms.
(#RIPVine) After finding his way through a few jobs, he jumped into the agency world
in 2015, first as a project manager, then as a copywriter, working on campaigns
for agricultural clients like Nutrien, Corteva AgriScience and more.
Bryce joined WS as
copywriter in November of 2019 after a spending some time writing for a
software company. “I’m really excited to jump back into agency life. I missed
working on a variety of clients, and I’m lucky to have landed a role at WS
where I can write copy as well as dabble in some content creation.” Bryce’s
favourite pieces of work in the ad world are the clever ones that can give him
a quick laugh while still conveying a strong message – something he hopes to do
in his work at WS.
“Bryce has been a great addition to the creative team. We
can count on him to handle everything we throw at him, no matter the challenge.
His copywriting skills ensure our clients’ key messages are communicated
clearly,” says Evan Macleod, Digital Creative Director. “Plus, his name rhymes
with a tonne of stuff, which is pretty cool,” he adds.
Bryce’s education nabbed him a Bachelor of Journalism with a
Major in Advertising, Minor in Anthropology from the University of Georgia.
After 10 years in the Atlanta suburbs, he was ready to move back to Calgary and
enjoy the nearby mountains again – at least until the first time the mercury
dipped below -20.
he’s not at the office, you can probably find Bryce riding a bike, working on a
bike, or talking someone’s ear off about bikes. “It’s a semi-healthy obsession,
I swear,” he claims. His favourite place to be is somewhere in the mountains,
especially if the trip spans a night or two in the backcountry. Otherwise, you
will likely find him at home with his wife and two Scottish-fold cats.
