Account Executive, Megan McLeod, isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty – both in and out of the field.
Megan McLeod joined
the WS team in August of this year, and we’re just hoping she loves us as much
as she loves agriculture.
As a third-generation
cattle producer in Alberta, Megan’s roots in agriculture run deep. Having grown
up in the cattle production and beef industry, Megan continues to be a huge
advocate for the ag industry both in and outside of the office. In her spare
time, Megan is involved in the planning and execution of three major youth
agricultural/livestock events, including Canada’s Richest Youth Steer &
Heifer Show, Summer Synergy, and the 2020 Canadian Charolais Youth Association
Conference & Show.
And her drive
doesn’t stop there.
Megan also has a strong passion for marketing and communications. While completing her Bachelor of Commerce with honours in Marketing from the University of Saskatchewan, Megan conducted an in-depth study on how the beef industry can better market Canadian beef to European consumers. Additionally, over the course of her 3-year marketing career, Megan has gained experience in project coordination and execution, concept development, event planning, social media marketing, data analysis and market research.
“We’re thrilled to
have someone with the calibre of ag knowledge and experience that Megan has on
our team,” said Shannon Anderson, Executive VP of Client Services. “Megan
brings her passion for ag to work each day, and truly understands the
importance of what our clients do, and how to turn their challenges into
solutions. She’s proven to be a wonderful addition to our team.”
As for her day-to-day work, Megan works diligently to ensure that our projects are completed on time and at the highest quality. “To be honest, I like being bossy,” said Megan. “There’s something to be said about the feeling you get guiding a project from idea to execution.” Join us in welcoming Account Executive Megan McLeod to the WS team!
